Changing Microsoft Dynamics GP Partner

Switching to ISC Software is easy

We deal with Dynamics GP customers transferring their support to us all the time and can help you through the steps if needed. ​Switching Microsoft Dynamics GP support partner to ISC Software is straightforward.

If you have have decided to make a move, you will need to notify Microsoft and cancel your partner support with your current provider: ​

1. Change your 'Partner of Record' with Microsoft
You will need to change your 'Partner of Record' with Microsoft so that your new partner can have access to your software details and manage your Enhancement Plan payment on behalf of Microsoft.

Changing your Partner of Record is simple by completing an online form on CustomerSource and you do not need to involve your existing partner. Ensure you have administration access to CustomerSource and when initiating the partner change you will be asked to enter the new Partner’s PIN in addition to their VOICE Account Number.  Once the form is submitted, your Partner of Record will be changed within hours.  

2. Cancel your current partner support contract
Notify your current partner in writing that you will not be renewing your support contract.  Note: Some partners require 90 days notice.

3. Order your new support plan
Set up an new Dynamics GP support plan for your day to day support.  

​Should you choose ISC Software as your new partner, we will arrange for a discussion about your Dynamics GP system with one of our Dynamics GP consultants, prior to switching.  If required, we will also carry out a full review of the system to ensure we can support it effectively for you.  We will also provide recommendations on how can improve the system to make it work better for your business or organisation.

FAQ's

​What is CustomerSource?
​CustomerSource is a Microsoft portal provided to registered Dynamics GP users. The Portal provides 24-7 self-support, self-training, software updates, hotfixes, news, knowledge base and your company-specific licensing information.  All Dynamics GP customers should have their access to CustomerSource set up.
​But I do not have access to CustomerSource?
​​Request in an email to ISC Software that you would like access to CustomerSource, along with the user details (name, title, phone, email) of the person to be setup. Ensure that the email is being sent from your company’s domain (abc@companyname.com). Alternatively, write a request on your company letterhead mentioning the same details and send it to us.
​What is included in my Microsoft Dynamics GP support agreement?
​As a Microsoft Dynamics GP customer, your support agreement will be made up of the these components:
  • Microsoft and Third Party Enhancement Plans
  • Partner support for day to day support and assistance

Your annual invoice will show these components separately or some partners may show it as one fee - you may need to ask your current partner for a breakdown. At ISC Software, we list each component separately so our customers can review exactly what they are paying for.
I am reviewing my support, how can I find out what how much my Microsoft Enhancement Plan is?
​​You can ask your existing partner for a full breakdown of costs. Or alternatively, you can find your software details on CustomerSource. Your Microsoft Enhancement Plan will be 16% of the original software cost.
What about my third party products?
​Once you set up your support with us, we will notify any third party providers of the change.
​My system is customised, how can I know you will be able to support it?
We will review your system free of charge and are familiar with customisations made on Dynamics GP by other partners.  Every Dynamics GP system is tailored to suit specific needs, which is why it is considered in high regard.

So far, we have never come across a customisation that we could not handle.  In most cases, customisations are not coded customisations but personalised configurations.
I am using an older version of Dynamics GP, can you help?
Yes we can. On a number of occasions we have had customers move to us because their current partner no longer has the resources to support older versions of Dynamics GP. Our consultants are experienced with many working with the product for over 20 years. We are happy to support Dynamics GP 10.0 and older
