SharePoint Intranet

The brief was to provide consultancy assistance with the deployment an Intranet and Document Management solution on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. 

 

ISC was involved in initial engagement around designing, configuring and documenting the SharePoint system.  Installation was an exercise which ISC was involved in configuring multi server environments in a Development, Test and Live environments. 

 

On going, ISC have been providing 2-3 days a week on site consultancy on Technical Configuration, Content Type creation, list and library configuration, Custom InfoPath development, and onsite support.  ISC also provided further guidance around supporting SharePoint components and security with reference to a custom workflow software.

Description:

Dynamics and SharePoint

Following the successful implementation of the Service Call Management solution using Dynamics GP, ISC was asked to bid and was then awarded to deliver a SharePoint project.  The brief was to upgrade the existing SharePoint Services V2 document management environment to SharePoint Services V3, whilst adding specific new functionality and improve the user interface. 

 

ISC was involved in initial onsite consultancy to review current system, discuss requirements for the new system, propose new structure and document this new solution.  As part of the development work ISC upgraded the existing environment and added new functionality around security, document categorisation, and user interface. 

 

The final stage was deployment of the new system, repopulating of data and training for key users.  ISC continues to deliver training to users, support and ad hoc software development.

Description:

Dynamics CRM and SharePoint

The project was an integration of both Microsoft SharePoint and Dynamics CRM technologies.  Dynamics CRM was widely used for Account and Contact records and a need was established to manage related documents in a robust way.

 

This project enabled a seamless integration between Dynamics CRM and Sharepoint for record document control. It allowed the user to upload documents into SharePoint that would be directly referenced to Dynamics CRM records.

 

Importantly this was all made available to the user via the Dynamics CRM interface and all documents (stored in SharePoint) could then also be viewed within the Dynamics CRM record.  All the benefits of using SharePoint for document control but all within the CRM interface.

Description:

engagePro – SharePoint Support

The client was using another service provider to provide SharePoint support.  The support was proving expensive and as the support was only provided onsite, there were delays in getting issues resolved.

 

ISC proposed engagePro as an alternative way to provide its support.  engagePro is ISC’s remote SharePoint solution.  As a result, support costs have been significantly reduced and issues can be resolved on demand which has saved the company time.
